STORM PopTops was born out of Summit Motorhomes, the company behind a long line of high-end conversions and some of the best fibreglass products on the campervan market. The GRP roof pod is one of those products — and it is still one of the most popular things we make.
If you're planning a conversion with a rear garage for motorcycles, mountain bikes or other equipment, the pod is an ideal addition to the build — valuable extra headroom and a much better use of the space you've already paid for.
We're now supplying and fitting them directly from our Weston-super-Mare branch.

Installing a pod means removing roof crossmembers. What you do about that is the whole job.
Every Storm/Summit pod is fitted on a purpose-fabricated installation frame, designed to replace the strength lost from the crossmembers removed during installation. It's been part of our system from the outset — not an optional extra.
Fitting takes a single day. Drop your vehicle with us and it's ready the following morning — once all sealants have fully cured and we've given everything a final clean and inspection.
Add a skylight, extra windows or a MaxxAir fan while it's with us, and colour code the pod to your vehicle so it looks completely integrated rather than simply added on.
The pod lifts the roof line over the rear section of the van — valuable extra headroom exactly where a garage build needs it, without changing the footprint of the van itself.
